14-Year-Old Girl Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Magellan Street in Midland

14-Year-Old Girl Killed in Midland Pedestrian Accident on Magellan Street at Mockingbird Lane

Midland, Texas (January 8, 2023) – A 14-year-old girl was killed on New Year’s Day in a pedestrian crash in Midland, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported around 6:29 p.m., January 1, in the 5500 block of Magellan Street at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane.

Authorities said the girl was crossing the intersection in her electric skateboard when she was struck by a vehicle that was heading westbound on Mockingbird Lane.

The girl was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene after the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
