One Seriously Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on East Loop 289

Lubbock, Texas (April 16, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash involving a fuel tanker in Lubbock, according to police.

The crash happened just before 2:00 p.m., on April 15, in the 4000 block of East Loop 289.

Police said a pickup truck was heading northbound when it lost control, veered into the southbound lanes, and struck a fuel tanker.

One person was seriously injured in the crash.

No further details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
