One Injured in Fire Truck Crash on Gulf Freeway in Houston

One Injured in Houston Fire Truck Crash on Gulf Freeway near Conklin Lane

Houston, Texas (May 24, 2022) – One person was injured on Monday in a crash involving a Houston Fire Department engine in southeast Houston, according to officials.

The crash happened on May 23, on the Gulf Freeway feeder near Conklin Lane.

Officials said a gray car crashed into the back of the HFD engine that was blocking the roadway from another crash.

One person in the gray car was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No firefighters were injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
