Man Killed, 3 Teens Injured in Harris County Crash on Fry Road

Harris County, Texas (May 3, 2022) – A man was killed and three teens were injured in a high-speed crash in Harris County on Monday night, authorities said.

The deadly crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Monday, May 2, in the 1800 block of Fry Road.

According to the authorities, the man was exiting a private driveway from a McDonald’s parking lot when his vehicle was hit by another car that was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.

After the impact, the man lost control of the vehicle, which traveled across all three lanes of traffic. The vehicle then entered northbound lanes and was struck by a third vehicle.

The man died at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Three teens who were in the speeding car were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries. One of the teens, a 17-year-old, was later arrested and charged with DUI.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
