Geneva Carrell, Brent Williford and Three Children Injured in Buna Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 96 at Business Highway 96

Buna, Texas (December 28, 2022) – Five people were injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Buna, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m., December 26, on Highway 96 at Business Highway 96.

DPS said Geneva Carrell, 29, of Buna, was stopped at a stop sign on Business Highway 96, while Brent Williford, 39, of Brookeland, was driving a 2019 Honda passenger car northbound on the highway.

Carrell pulled out onto the highway and the SUV collided with the Honda.

Both drivers and passengers in the SUV, 2, 4, and 7, were taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
