2 Police Officers Hospitalized after Garland Crash on Northwest Highway at Yeager Drive

Garland, Texas (October 11, 2019) – Two Dallas police officers were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Garland, according to the police.

The crash occurred just before 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Yeager Drive.

Police said an officer was driving a marked squad car when they failed to yield the right of way at a flashing red stop light. The squad car then collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander which was traveling eastbound on Northwest Highway. The Mitsubishi had a flashing yellow light.

Two officers were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The Mitsubishi driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed a portion of Northwest Highway.

An investigation is underway.
