17-Year-Old Killed in Bell County Multi-Vehicle Crash on FM 2843

 Bell County, Texas (August 25, 2023) – A 17-year-old was killed Thursday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Bell County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 a.m., August 24, on FM 2843, west of Salado.

DPS said the 17-year-old was driving westbound when they passed another vehicle in a no-passing zone and collided with a van occupied by two adults and two children, and then head-on with a semi-truck.

The 17-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
