Two Injured in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash near 15th Street and Lavaca Street

Austin, Texas (May 12, 2021) – Two people, including an officer, were injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Austin, according to the police.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of 15th Street and Lavaca Street.

Police said a vehicle occupied by four people T-boned a patrol vehicle, which was occupied by an APD officer and someone in custody in the back of the vehicle.

The person in custody was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The officer sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
