2 Injured in 2-Car Accident on 4th Street in Lubbock

Two Hospitalized after Lubbock Crash at 4th Street and Toledo Avenue
Lubbock, Texas (April 7, 2019) – Two people were injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Northwest Lubbock, police said.
The wreck, which was reported at about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, April 6, happened in the area of 4th Street and Toledo Avenue.
According to the police, a pickup truck hauling a trailer collided with a passenger car for reasons still under investigation.
One person sustained serious, life-threatening injuries while the other victim suffered moderate injuries. Both patients were taken to a hospital.
The names of the victims and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The crash caused the closure of all westbound lanes in the 4600 block of 4th Street. Eastbound 4th Street traffic was shut down to one lane and was being forced to turn southbound on Toledo Avenue.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area of the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
