Eden Nuval Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 410; Dominic Rodriguez Arrested

San Antonio, Texas – According to the police, a man has been arrested in connection to the hit-and-run crash that left an elderly woman dead in San Antonio earlier this month.

Dominic Rodriguez, 30, was arrested for failing to stop and render aid in the fatal accident.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 3:00 a.m., March 1, on Loop 410.

Police said Rodriguez was driving a Ford Bronco Sport on the highway when he rear-ended another car driven by 76-year-old Eden Nuval.

The impact sent Nuval’s car into a barrier where it rolled over and caught fire.

Nuval was killed in the crash.

Rodriguez fled the scene after the accident. Using the vehicle’s registration, as well as an automatic phone call to 911 during the crash from a phone number registered to Rodriguez, police were able to connect Rodriguez to the accident. He was arrested for Collision Involving Death and was being held in Bexar County Jail with a bond of $100,000.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with any information on the accident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 210-224-7867 or submit a tip at www.sacrimestoppers.com.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
