Jesus Gutierrez Arrested after Hit-And-Run Rollover Crash on I-30 in Grand Prairie

4 Injured, Jesus Gutierrez Arrested in Grand Prairie Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 30

Grand Prairie, Texas (May 11, 2019) – A driver was arrested following a hit-and-run crash that left four people injured on Friday morning in Grand Prairie, police said.
The crash occurred at about 5:00 a.m. May 10, on Interstate 30 near the Loop 12 exit.
According to the police, a Lincoln Aviator driven by Jesus Gutierrez, 23, was heading west on I-30 when it lost control and slammed into the metal barrier. The Aviator then bounced back into the roadway and collided with a van.
An Arlington police officer was driving along the highway and had seen the Aviator weaving in and out of traffic prior to the collision.
The force of the impact caused the van to flip over and it caught fire.
Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Gutierrez reportedly tried to flee the scene but he was arrested. He faces four counts of accident involving injury, duty on striking a fixture and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
The crash remains under investigation.
