One Injured after Trains Strikes Truck on Tower Road in Santa Fe

Man Airlifted after Santa Fe Train Crash on Tower Road near State Highway 6

Santa Fe, Texas (November 2, 2019) – A man was injured Friday night after his truck was hit by a train in Santa Fe, police said.

The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. November 1, on Tower Road south of State Highway 6.

Police said a truck tried to cross the tracks at Tower Road when it was hit by an oncoming train.

The train pushed the truck for about 300 yards down the tracks.

The truck driver, a 21-year-old man, was airlifted to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in an unknown condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
