16-Year-Old Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Hwy 175 in SE Dallas

Dallas, Texas – A 16-year-old Dallas teen was killed Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Southeast Dallas, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

The deadly accident happened just after 8:00 p.m., April 22, on Highway 175 near the intersection of Beltline.

Deputies said the driver of a Cadillac SUV swerved to avoid stalled traffic and hit the 16-year-old boy who was walking on the nearby shoulder.

The teen was taken to the hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

The driver stopped after the accident and cooperated with the investigators.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
