Two Police Officers Injured in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on S. R L Thornton Freeway; 28-Year-Old Man Arrested

Dallas, Texas (April 4, 2021) – Two police officers were injured early Saturday morning in a DUI crash in Dallas, according to police.

The crash happened just after 3:45 a.m., April 3, in the 3900 block of S. R L Thornton Freeway.

Police said two officers were blocking traffic for a crash that had just happened and were in a marked Dallas PD squad car with the emergency lights on.

A 28-year-old man was driving when he failed to slow down and crashed into the squad car.

The two officers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The man was arrested and taken to jail for DWI.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
