Joe Guerra Jr. Killed in San Patricio County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 666
San Patricio County, Texas (August 31, 2021) –According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed, and three others were injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in San Patricio County.
The fatal crash happened around 10:00 p.m., August 29, on FM 666.
DPS said a Ford F-250 was traveling southbound on the highway when it attempted to make a turn into a private location and was rear-ended by a southbound Chevy that had failed to control its speed.
The force of the impact caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway.
The Ford driver, 39-year-old Joe Guerra Jr. from Mathis, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Ford was taken to Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi with non-life-threatening injuries.
The two people in the Chevy were taken to CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
