Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Loop 410 near Cento Drive

San Antonio, Texas (August 18, 2022) – According to the police, a man was killed Wednesday night in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio’s Southwest Side.

The deadly accident happened around 10:00 p.m., August 17, in the 8100 block of SW Loop 410, near Cento Drive.

Police said the man was crossing the highway when he was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

While officers were working the crash, another vehicle rear-ended an SAPD patrol vehicle.

There were no officers in the patrol vehicle. The occupants of the second vehicle were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

No other information was available.

The police are investigating the crash.
