2 Hospitalized after Bellmead Crash on Interstate 35

Bellmead, Texas (July 5, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized Friday morning after an alleged DUI crash in Bellmead, according to Department of Public Safety officer.

The crash took place at about 7:30 a.m. on northbound Interstate 35 near mile marker 338.

The officer said a Ford SUV was hit from behind by a Dodge van that was traveling erratically.

The SUV driver and a passenger were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center with unknown injuries. Their name and conditions at this time were not disclosed.

The driver of the Dodge was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
