Two Drivers Injured in Corpus Christi Dump Truck Crash on Civitan Drive

Corpus Christi, Texas (December 24, 2019) – Two people were injured in a dump truck crash Monday morning in Corpus Christi, a local news source reported.

The crash happened just after 8:00 a.m. December 23, on Civitan Drive off Ayers.

Police said two dump truck drivers with solid waste were heading down opposite directions on Civitan Drive when one of the drivers became blinded by the sun and veered into an oncoming garbage truck, sideswiping it.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with facial injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
