Danielle Walton Killed, Santoyo Hernandez Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on Slide in Lubbock

Danielle Walton Killed and Santoyo Hernandez Injured in Lubbock Three-Vehicle Crash at 82nd and Slide Road

Lubbock, Texas (December 14, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured Friday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 6:30 a.m., December 10, in the area of 82nd and Slide Road.

Police said a Ford Fusion was traveling northbound in the 8200 block of Slide Road while a Ford Expedition was traveling southbound.

The Fusion crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic and crashed into the Expedition. A southbound Ford F-250 also struck the Fusion.

The Fusion driver, Danielle Walton, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Expedition driver, Santoyo Hernandez, 41, was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The driver of the F-250, Steven Levitt, 62, was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
