Nelson Morales Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Wichita Street in Fort Worth

7-Year-Old Nelson Morales Killed in Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident on Wichita Street

Fort Worth, Texas (March 4, 2020) – The boy who was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run accident in southwest Fort Worth has been identified as Nelson Morales,7, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The accident happened around 10:00 p.m., March 3, on Wichita Street, near Highway 287 south of Berry Street.

Police said Morales was at a family gathering and was attempting to cross the street. One car stopped to allow Morales to cross the street but a second car went around and hit him.

The car dragged Morales for several blocks before fleeing the scene.

Nelson was killed in the crash.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a gray or silver Toyota SUV.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the department at 817-392-4869.
