Man Killed in Houston Scooter Accident on Pease Street near Louisiana

Houston, Texas (January 29, 2023) – A man riding an electric scooter was killed in a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning in Houston, according to Houston police.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Pease Street near Louisiana.

Houston police said the man was crossing the street on an electric scooter when he was struck by a pickup truck on the left lane on Pease Street.

The man, whose name has not been released, died in the crash.

The pickup truck driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
