Hilton Knox Jr, Christine Jones Killed in Elgin Car Crash on Highway 95

Elgin, Texas (March 15, 2019) – A two-vehicle crash left two people dead on Wednesday night near Elgin, according to the Department of Public Safety.
The incident happened at about 6:20 p.m. March 13, on Highway 95.
The DPS said Christine Renee Jones, 46, was driving a 2015 GMC Terrain southbound on Highway 95 when she swerved to avoid a tractor-trailer that made a turn in front of her.
Jones ended up colliding with a 2006 Chevy Malibu that was being operated by Hilton Knox Jr., 73.
Knox was pronounced deceased at the scene while Jones was transported to Seton Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly after.
The DPS is investigating the incident.
