One Killed in Truck Accident on I-20 in Odessa

1 Killed and 1 Seriously Injured in Odessa Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Odessa, Texas (March 21, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Odessa, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 4:00 p.m. March 19, on Interstate 20 at Grant.

Police said a Dodge truck was stopped in the westbound lanes of the highway due to construction, and a Jaguar was traveling behind it.

The driver of an 18-wheeler failed to control their speed and rear-ended the Jaguar, pushing it into the back of the Dodge.

A passenger in Jaguar was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jaguar was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
