3 Killed in Head-On Crash on SH 153 in Nolan County

Three Killed in Nolan County Car Crash on State Highway 153

Nolan County, Texas (October 5, 2020) – Three people were killed in a head-on collision in Nolan County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:35 p.m. on State Highway 153 near mile marker 311, 15 miles south of Sweetwater.

DPS said a Ford Taurus was heading northbound when it veered into the southbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Nissan Murano.

A man and a woman from Lubbock, who were in the Murano, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A Bandera man in the Taurus was also declared dead at the scene.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
