Juan Vazquez-Quevedo Killed in Milam County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 79

Milam County, Texas (August 6, 2023) – Two people were killed Friday afternoon in a head-on collision in Milam County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:50 p.m., August 4, on US 79 near Milano.

DPS said Sean Daniel Ocasio-Hogue, 38, of Kissimmee, Florida, was driving a 2023 GMC Acadia SUV westbound on the highway approaching a right curve while Juan Alfredo Vazquez-Quevedo, of Bryan, Texas, was driving a 2008 Honda Fit passenger car eastbound approaching the same curve.

The GMC entered the curve, continued to go straight, and crossed into the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with the Honda.

Vazquez-Quevedo and another unidentified man were pronounced dead at the scene.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
