Two Seriously Injured in Brownsville Three-Vehicle Crash on Ruben M. Torres Boulevard; Frank Luna Arrested

Brownsville, Texas (December 17, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured early Friday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Brownsville, according to the police.

The crash was reported around 12:36 a.m., December 16, in the 1100 block of Ruben M. Torres Boulevard.

Police said Frank Luna, 45, was driving a Toyota Tacoma and was racing a Ford F150 when he ran a red light and struck a vehicle, causing a chain-reaction crash. Three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Luna showed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests.

The other two drivers were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Luna was arraigned Friday, and his bond was set at $50,000

The police are investigating the crash.
