2 Injured in Fiery Crash on I-35 in Hewitt

Two Injured in Hewitt Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Hewitt, Texas – Two people were injured Sunday morning in a fiery crash in Hewitt, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 6:15 a.m., February 4, on southbound Interstate 35 near Mile Marker 326.

DPS said a Ford pickup truck was involved in a crash, causing it to become disabled in the roadway. The Ford was then struck by a Nissan SUV. Both vehicles became fully engulfed in flames.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Parkland Health in Dallas for treatment. The driver of the Nissan was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Waco.

The crash remains under investigation.
