Two Pilots Injured in Orange Grove Plane Crash near Naval Outlying Field

Orange Grove, Texas (March 25, 2021) – Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a plane crash in Orange Grove, according to officials.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m., March 24, about three miles from the Naval Outlying Field.

Officials said a Navy T-45C Goshawk training jet aircraft crashed into some ranch lands in Orange Grove.

Both the instructor and a student were able to eject from the plane before it crashed and caught fire. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

The US Navy is investigating the crash.
