Two Injured in Leander Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1431

Leander, Texas (September 10, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Leander, according to police.

The crash happened around 9:11 a.m., September 9, in the 17400 block of Farm to Market Road 1431.

Police said a red pickup truck and a white SUV collided, for unknown reasons, on the highway.

Both drivers, a 65-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman were found unconscious in their vehicles. They were both taken to a Round Rock hospital for treatment. One of the victims had critical injuries while the other had minor injuries.

Investigators said the road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call LPD at (512) 528-2800 to speak to a patrol officer.
