Two Injured in Wilmer Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 45 Freeway at Pleasant Run

Wilmer, Texas (June 23, 2019) – Two people were injured Friday morning in a fiery wrong-way crash in Wilmer, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred at about 4:00 a.m. June 21, on the Interstate 45 Freeway at Pleasant Run.

As per the report, a Chevrolet sedan driven by 23-year-old Jay’la Sherley was traveling in the wrong direction when it collided with a Lexus. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Sherley and the Lexus driver to Baylor University Medical Center for treatment.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
