James Peloquin Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on U.S 59 in Panola County

James Peloquin ID’d as Man Killed in Panola County Crash on U.S 59 and U.S.50

Panola County, Texas (October 14, 2022) – Authorities have identified the man who died in a traffic crash Thursday evening south of Carthage in Panola County as James B. Peloquin, 44, of DeBerry.

The fatal wreck happened at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, on U.S 59 and U.S.50.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Peloquin was driving a Chevrolet truck westbound on U.S 59 when he failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign and drove onto U.S.50.

Peloquin’s vehicle then hit a Ford truck that was heading northbound on U.S 59, driven by Ronald C. Hudman, 55, of Seabrook.

Peloquin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ronald Hudman, and his passenger, Annette Hudman, 63, also from Seabrook, were transported to a Longview hospital in unknown condition.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
