8 Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on I-20 in Kaufman County

Eight Injured in Kaufman County Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 near FM 429

Kaufman County, Texas (August 29, 2021) – Eight people were injured Saturday night in a three-vehicle crash in Terrell, Kaufman County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m., August 28, on Interstate 20 near Farm-to-Market Road 429.

Authorities said a pickup truck rear-ended a Kia Optima, causing it to go airborne and hit a Chevy Equinox.

All four people in the pickup truck were taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where one of them was listed in critical condition.

One of the four people in the Optima was taken to UT Health Tyler. The other three people were taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center. One of the victims was listed in critical condition.

The three people in the Equinox were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
