2 Killed, 1 Injured in Head-On Crash on FM 3083 near Conroe

Two Killed and One Injured in Conroe Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 3083

Conroe, Texas (July 17, 2020) – Two people were killed, and another was injured Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision near Conroe, according to police.

The fatal crash happened at about 4:30 p.m., July 16, on FM 3083, between Jefferson Chemical and Exxon Road.

Police said a Dodge Dart was heading southbound on the highway when it attempted to pass a vehicle in front of it and crashed head-on into a northbound Toyota Tacoma.

The male driver and female passenger in the Tacoma were trapped in the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The Dart driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash closed the highway and it has since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
