Two Killed in Mission Two-Vehicle Crash at 2 Mile Line Road and Shary Road

Mission, Texas (August 17, 2020) – Two people were killed on Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Mission, police said.

The fatal crash occurred on August 16, at the intersection of 2 Mile Line Road and Shary Road.

According to police, witnesses said a red Toyota was speeding when it crashed into a white Chevy.

The Chevy driver, a 40-year-old woman, was killed in the crash. A 36-year-old male passenger in the red car was taken to the hospital where they later died.

The driver of the red car, a 26-year-old man, was taken to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg for treatment. He was suspected of having been driving under the influence of alcohol.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
