Two Seriously Injured in Travis County Semi-Truck Crash at SH 71 and Ross Road

Travis County, Texas (January 24, 2021) – Two people were injured in a semi-truck crash Saturday evening in eastern Travis County near Del Valle High School, according to officials.

The crash happened around 7:20 p.m., on January 23, in the area of East State Highway 71 and Ross Road.

Officials said the crash involved a semi-truck and a vehicle.

One person was pinned inside the vehicle after the crash. The victim had to be extricated.

Two people were taken to South Austin Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
