27-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Sam Houston Parkway in Houston

27-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Sam Houston Parkway (Beltway 8)

Houston, Texas (September 12, 2023) – A 27-year-old man was killed Friday evening in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:05 p.m., September 8, in the 9300 block of West Sam Houston Parkway service road, also known as Beltway 8.

Police said the man was walking northbound in the main lanes when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the crash.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. It is believed that he was walking in the roadway due to a water main break that had flooded the adjacent sidewalk with several inches of water.
