Gary Moore Killed in Port Arthur Four-Vehicle Crash on Highway 69

Port Arthur, Texas (July 1, 2021) – The man who was killed Sunday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in Port Arthur has been identified as Gary Wayne Moore, 73, of Groves, according to the officials.

The fatal crash happened around 3:30 p.m., June 27, in the 8400 block of Highway 69 southbound.

Police said Moore was trying to pick up something that fell out of the bed of his 2013 Ford pickup truck when he was struck by a southbound 2018 Jeep Cherokee.

Officers said a total of four vehicles were involved in the wreck.

Moore was killed in the crash.

The crash closed the highway and 365 exits.

The police are investigating the crash.
