Sally Holtz Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 281

San Antonio, Texas (July 22, 2021) – The woman who was killed on Sunday in a wrong-way crash in San Antonio has been identified as Sally Anne Holtz,69, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal crash occurred on July 18, on Highway 281.

Police said Holtz was driving when she made an illegal U-turn on the highway and started driving southbound in the northbound lanes before crashing head-on into a Toyota Tundra.

Holtz had to be extricated from her vehicle and was taken to University Hospital, where she later died.

The driver and passenger of the Tundra were taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
