Guillermo Rivas ID’d as Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on E Navigation Boulevard and N 77th Street
Houston, Texas (June 25, 2022) – Authorities have identified the man who died after he was struck late last month by a hit-and-run driver at an intersection in Houston as Guillermo Rivas, 79.
According to the Houston Police Department, the deadly pedestrian accident took place at the intersection of Navigation Boulevard and N. 77th Street on May 29.
Rivas was crossing the intersection using a crutch when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle, police said.
Rivas was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid to Rivas and fled the scene. Authorities later located the suspect’s vehicle, an SUV, which was possibly stolen.
Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police at (713) 222-TIPS (8477). Reward possible up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
