William Moore, Jerry Chapman Killed in Red Oak Crash on Interstate 35E

William Moore and Jerry Chapman ID’d as 2 Victims Killed in Red Oak Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 35E

Red Oak, Texas (July 27, 2019) – Authorities have identified the two men who were killed Friday morning in a traffic crash in Red Oak.

William Moore, 64 and Jerry Chapman, 40, died in the wreck that happened at about 4:00 a.m. Friday, July 26 in the southbound lanes of the 100 block of North IH-35E.

According to the authorities, Moore was riding his motorcycle when for an unknown reason, he collided with a vehicle in the southbound lanes.

Moore was ejected from the bike upon the impact. The driver of the vehicle, Chapman, got out to check on Moore.

As Chapman went into the traffic lanes, an 18-wheeler hit him and Moore.

The driver of the 18-wheeler stopped after the accident.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. Chapman was taken to Medical City Hospital in Arlington, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
