Motorcyclist and Passenger Hospitalized after Harlingen Crash on South Business 77 near Ed Carey Drive

Harlingen, Texas (June 2, 2022) – A motorcyclist and a passenger were injured in a collision with an SUV on Tuesday morning in Harlingen, police said.

The crash took place on South Business 77 near Ed Carey Drive on Tuesday, May 31.

According to the police, a motorcycle collided with a sports utility vehicle under unclear circumstances.

The motorcycle rider and passenger were transported to a local hospital, one with critical injuries and the other with serious injuries.

The driver and two passengers of the SUV fled the scene on foot, but they were later arrested.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
