Miguel Castillo-Gallegos, 24, Killed in Martin County Crash on Interstate 20

Martin County, Texas (July 12, 2019) – 24-year-old Miguel Castillo-Gallegos of Palestine was among two people killed when two vehicles collided on Wednesday night in Martin County, according to the DPS.

The crash took place shortly before midnight on Wednesday, July 10, on Interstate 20, approximately 2 miles east of Stanton.

DPS said a Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Denali were involved in a head-on collision. One of the drivers was heading east in the westbound lanes of I-20 when the crash occurred.

One of the drivers was identified as Castillo-Gallegos. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The DPS is conducting an investigation into the incident.
