Two Men Killed in Ellis County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 45

Ellis County, Texas (November 24, 2020) – Two men were fatally hit by an intoxicated driver Sunday evening in rural Ellis County, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened just after 6:00 p.m., November 22, on the southbound I-45 service road.

Police said two men were pushing a stalled van in the far right lane when a pickup truck driven by Valentine Campos, 59, of Corsicana, rear-ended the van.

Both men who were pushing the van were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people in the van were not seriously injured in the crash.

Campos was arrested on two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter. He was taken to the Ellis County jail.

An investigation is underway.
