25-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Fairbanks N Houston Road in Houston

Houston, Texas – A 25-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Sunday in northwest Houston, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident happened on March 31, on Fairbanks North Houston Road, south of Fallbrook Drive.

Deputies said the woman had been having an ongoing argument with her boyfriend and had made suicidal outcries. She had been walking in the road when the boyfriend reportedly picked her up in his car. That is when she jumped out of the car. When the boyfriend stopped to check on her, she ran into the northbound lanes and was hit by another car.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

No additional information was available.

The sheriff’s office’s vehicular crimes division is investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
