3 Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-35 in Ellis County

Three Injured in Ellis County Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Ellis County, Texas (May 5, 2021) – According to the police, three people were injured Monday night in a multi-vehicle crash in Ellis County.

The crash occurred on May 3, on Interstate 35, near Johnson Road.

Police said three 18-wheelers flipped over, and the road median shifted in the crash. Two southbound trucks and a van, as well as another northbound 18-wheeler, were also involved in the crash.

Two southbound 18-wheelers were pushed into the center barrier of the interstate while the van was pushed into one of the trucks.

The northbound 18-wheeler was pushed off the roadway into a field.

Three people were pulled from the turned-over 18-wheelers. The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of them had serious injuries.

The people in the van were uninjured in the crash.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
