Three Injured in Spring Motorcycle Accident at Spring Cypress and Ella

Spring, Texas (August 29, 2019) – Three motorcyclists were injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night at a Spring intersection, according to the authorities.

The crash happened shortly before 11:50 p.m. August 28, in the area of Spring Cypress and Ella.

Deputies said a group of five motorcyclists were heading eastbound on Spring Cypress while a Ford Mustang was also heading eastbound at a high rate of speed.

The motorcyclists slowed down for the red light at the intersection, but the Mustang ran the red light and crashed into three of the motorcyclists.

The impact caused the Mustang to slide across the road and hit a dirt pile before coming to a stop. Two of the motorcyclists came to a rest on the east side of Ella while the third was in the grass area west of Ella Boulevard.

The Mustang driver fled the scene on foot.

The three motorcycles were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
