31-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on I-10 Katy Freeway; Asya Marshall Arrested

Houston, Texas – A 31-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a crash involving an alleged intoxicated driver in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:40 a.m., December 16, in the 8000 block of the Katy Freeway.

Police said a Chevrolet Equinox and a Mercedes A220 were involved in a minor crash. The driver of a Dodge Ram tow truck stopped to help the drivers who were standing outside of their vehicles.

A westbound Jeep Wrangler struck the back of the Dodge pickup truck, then the back of the Mercedes, and then the driver of the Equinox.

A 31-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Sunday. His name has not been released.

The driver of the Jeep, Asya Marshall, 32, was detained at the scene and determined to be intoxicated. 

Marshall has been charged with intoxicated assault.

The police are investigating the crash.
