1 Injured in DUI Crash on Kell Freeway in Wichita Falls; Woman Arrested

One Injured in Wichita Falls Two-Vehicle Crash on Kell Freeway near Kemp Boulevard; Woman Arrested

Wichita Falls, Texas (May 11, 2022) – One person was injured Tuesday afternoon in a DUI crash in Wichita Falls, according to the police.

The crash happened around 4:55 p.m., May 10, on Kell Freeway East near the overpass of Kemp Boulevard.

Police said a woman was driving a white Toyota car eastbound on the freeway when she crossed over several lanes and struck a dark-colored sedan, knocking it into the guard rail.

The sedan came to rest off of the freeway and in the bushes of the median, while the white Toyota remained on the road.

One person sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The driver of the Toyota was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The police are investigating the crash.
