Four Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Wurzbach Road near Babcock Road

San Antonio, Texas (March 18, 2021) – According to police, four people were injured in a DUI crash early Thursday morning in San Antonio’s Northwest Side.

The crash occurred just after midnight, in the 7200 block of Wurzbach Road, near Babcock Road and the Medical Center area.

Police said a white Nissan Rogue was traveling westbound on Wurzbach Road at a high rate of speed while a red Ford Focus was pulling out of a McDonald’s restaurant or a Shell gas station.

The Focus failed to yield the right of way and turned left in front of the Nissan. The Nissan then crashed into the driver’s-side of the Focus.

Both vehicles came to a rest along the southbound curb of Wurzbach Road.

A 38-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

The Nissan driver and a passenger in the Taurus were also taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said the Nissan driver admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages before the crash. They were taken into custody and has been charged with DWI.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
