81-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Car Crash on Bellfort Avenue

Houston, Texas (April 20, 2023) – An 81-year-old man died on April 18 after being involved in a car crash in Houston, according to the police.

The crash happened around 11:45 a.m., April 13, in the 6900 block of Bellfort Avenue.

Police said the man was driving a maroon Chevrolet C10 pickup truck westbound when he attempted to turn when unsafe into a parking lot, and his vehicle was struck by an eastbound black Chevrolet Impala.

The force of the impact caused the Impala to hit a tree. The driver, a 17-year-old man, and his 15-year-old female passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Chevrolet driver was taken to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center, where he later died on Tuesday April 18. His name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash.
